During exercise, lactic acid builds up causing a drop in muscle pH, which causes the burning sensation you recognize as muscle fatigue. Beta-alanine is an amino acid that increases the production of carnosine, which buffers lactic acid in muscles. Supplementing with beta-alanine helps to restore the pH balance in muscles, allowing the ability to train harder and longer.
Turbo provides comprehensive support for red blood cell production, and supports horses that lack stamina, are lethargic, or are easily fatigued. While other energy supplements overfocus on iron, feeding extra iron has not been shown to improve red blood cell count or athletic ability, and iron is rarely deficient in a horse’s diet.

How long does it take to see a difference after starting to feed Turbo?
It takes approximately 4 weeks to see and feel a difference in your horse’s stamina after starting Turbo.
Will Turbo make my horse hot?
No! Turbo is extremely low in any sugar or starch and does not make horses hot, wild or fresh. Turbo is designed to buffer lactic acid in the muscle and help enhance a horse’s overall fitness and stamina.
Can I just use Turbo before competitions?
No. Unlike other categories of energy supplements that are designed for fast acting and short lasting bursts of energy, Turbo is a maintenance product that takes several weeks to take effect, and is designed for long term fitness and stamina.
Would Turbo and Calmakazi cancel eachother out?
No! Turbo and Calmakazi would not "cancel" each other out and can absolutely be used together. Turbo does not make horses hot or wild. It is designed to buffer lactic acid within the muscle and help delay the onset of physical fatigue. Calmakazi helps reduce the stress hormone cortisol and promote the increase of serotonin. There are plenty of horses that benefit from Calmakazi to help reduce their internal anxiety and stress while still benefiting from Turbo which helps their physical fitness and recovery.
Can I use Hulk and Turbo together?
Yes! Hulk is a combination of proteins and essential and limiting amino acids that help build muscle. Turbo is designed to help buffer lactic acid within the muscle, reducing oxidative stress, delaying fatigue, and enhancing overall stamina.
What makes Turbo different from other energy and stamina supplements?
While other energy supplements overfocus on iron, feeding extra iron has not been shown to improve red blood cell count or athletic ability, and iron is rarely deficient in a horse’s diet. Turbo uses beta-alanine to enhance stamina, particularly during high intensity exercise, by increasing muscle carnosine levels, which buffers against lactic acid to help delay the onset of physical fatigue.
Do you offer farm incentive programs?
Yes. For barns buying in bulk please email us at [email protected] to discuss eligibility and incentive structure.
Where do you ship from?
All orders ship from our warehouse in Wellington, FL.
Do you have sales or promo codes?
No. We do not have sales or promo codes because we offer the highest quality product at the lowest possible price year round.
Do you have sample sizes of the supplements?
No. The reason we do not have sample sizes is because the average time frame for seeing an improvement is generally 2-3 weeks so for people wanting to sample the products we suggest starting with the 30 day supply.
Do you accept returns?
Equine Elixirs is unable to acccept returns due to the perishable nature of the products.
"We love Turbo because it gives our horses that extra bit of energy and stamina without making them wild. It has been especially helpful in keeping the horses feeling their best even when it is week 10 of WEF and in the past they would have been physically fatigued and tired. "

"For several years I’ve struggled with my best horse’s stamina towards the end of a round. We tried everything to increase his physical fitness and respiratory capacity, and ruled out any medical issues. After several weeks on Turbo, I now feel that he has 95% of the power at our last jump as we did at the first. He is a very anxious horse and I’m amazed that Turbo increased his physical stamina without making him fresh, nervous or uneasy. "
