OMEGA-3 Fatty Acid Support

The horse’s normal grazing diet contains an Omega-3 ratio upwards of five times the amount of Omega-6 fatty acids. But only Omega-3 fatty acids contain anti-inflammatory properties whereas Omega-6 fatty acids create inflammation.  Equine feed and oil products are deceptively high in Omega-6, which throws the desired omega ratio out of balance. Common fats from corn, soy, coconut, canola and rice bran, often labeled as “vegetable oil,” can contain over 55 times the amount of Omega-6 to Omega-3.

Though some inflammation is the body’s way of defending against injury or infection, chronic inflammation has been linked to major equine health issues including laminitis, insulin resistance, metabolic disorders, and allergies.

Feeding a supplementary Omega-3 fat source provides many benefits. Omega-3 fatty acids delay the onset of fatigue and can be used as preferential muscle fuel especially for metabolic, insulin-resistant, and carbohydrate sensitive horses requiring a low sugar and starch diet.

OM3GA is a revolutionary vegan Omega-3 fatty acid supplement that harvests EPA and DHA from algae instead of from fish.  Fish oil smells and tastes bad, contains marine pollutants, and is not a natural part of the horse’s diet. Combined with all natural Vitamin E (alpha tocopherol) and sea buckthorn oil, OM3GA will rebalance your horse’s Omega-3 fatty acid ratio, reduce oxidative stress, and support a lustrous coat, mane and tail.

How is OM3GA® different from other omega oils?

Most omega oils are extremely misleading when it comes to the ratio of Omega-3 fatty acids vs Omega-6 and Omega-9 fatty acids.  The majority of other oils are heavily misbalanced towards Omega-6 and Omega-9, when in reality it's the Omega-3 that your horse really needs.  Some small amount of Omega-6 and Omega-9 are needed for your horse to mount an inflammatory response to fight against disease and infection, but processed grain diets are exponentially higher in these pro-inflammatory fatty acids. OM3GA® is a true source of Omega-3 fatty acids, designed to re-balance your horse's Omega fatty acid profile.

Is OM3GA® safe for metabolic horses?

Yes! In fact, EPA/DHA can actually help regulate insulin and is extremely beneficial for insulin resistant and metabolic horses.

Why is OM3GA® better than fish oil?

Fish oil is beneficial due to its EPA/DHA content. But horses aren't designed to eat fish, and they don't like the smell/taste.  Moreover, because fish are often high in ocean contaminants, that means so is their oil.  OM3GA® uses microbrewed algae to harvest the same EPA/DHA found in fish oil, but because its clarified and distilled, it has no smell/taste, is healthier for horses to eat, and contains no environmental pollutants.

If my horse is already getting Omega-3 fatty acids from flaxseed, why would he need OM3GA®?

Seeds like flax are high in ALA, one form of Omega-3 fatty acids.  But the body has to convert ALA into EPA/DHA to derive any anti-inflammatory benefit, and this conversion process is extremely inefficient.  Until now, the only way to supplement EPA/DHA was from fish oil.  Providing your horse with EPA/DHA is entirely different than just serving ALA because it is the EPA/DHA that ultimately help reduce inflammation throughout the body.

Will my horse like the taste of OM3GA®?

Yes because there is no smell/taste. Our oil undergoes an intense clarification and distillation process to remove any smell or taste traditionally associated with marine oils.

Why are other basic omega oils so much cheaper?

The majority of omega oils, including those marketed as Omega-3 oils, are typically and primarily Omega-6 fatty acids comprised of a combination of cheap fats such as soy, corn, canola, or sunflower oil. These sources of Omega-6 and Omega-9 fatty acids are known to create tremendous amounts of inflammation in the body.  But soy and corn oil are extremely cheap, which is why most companies use them as carriers.

No. We do not have sales or promo codes because we offer the highest quality product at the lowest possible price year round.

Testimonials
She developed dapples for the first time in her life.

"In the 6 years I’ve had my mare I tried every oil and supplement trying to improve her coat. I was shocked that after one week using OM3GA, her coat was glistening. Her overall physical appearance was more muscular and fit, and she developed dapples for the first time in her life."

Since starting my horses on OM3GA, they have never looked better.

"Since starting my horses on OM3GA, they have never looked better. Not only are their coats healthy and shiny, but I know they are getting the necessary vitamin E they need, as recommended by my vet. "

Anna Buffini

USA Dressage Team Rider
My horses are sound and comfortable and they look absolutely amazing.

"OM3GA is more concentrated than other oils providing a greater health benefit even at lesser volumes. The horses love eating it and I appreciate that it is the only vegan source of EPA and DHA, which means the horses get the same anti-inflammatory benefits as fish oil, but in a form more suitable for their digestive system. My horses are sound and comfortable and they look absolutely amazing. "

OM3GA has done great things for my horses since incorporating it into their feeding routine.

"OM3GA has done great things for my horses since incorporating it into their feeding routine. I've noticed an increase in muscle definition and muscle recovery after big efforts. All of the horses's coats look great too - they're shiny, well-moisturized, and look very healthy! OM3GA has become a staple product for us!"

Catherine Tyree Flores

Top Grand Prix Show Jumper
Since starting our horses on OM3GA, I have noticed a positive change in the condition of their skin and coats.

"Not only are they shinier, but OM3GA boosts their immune system making them less susceptible to skin irritations. As an added bonus the horses enjoy the taste, which makes them more willing to eat certain medicines or supplements they would otherwise try to avoid. "

Dana Escales

I cannot say enough good things about OM3GA.

"I cannot say enough good things about OM3GA. I love all the research behind the supplement and the fact that in addition to Omega-3 fatty acids it also contains high concentrations of Vitamin E. My horses look and feel incredible. OM3GA is my favorite Equine Elixirs supplement."
