Q & HAY - Sudden Comfort
For today’s edition of Q & HAY, we are sharing some of the top Sudden Comfort questions we receive.
Same dose for a large horse and small pony?
Yes! The size of the pony or horse is less relevant than you may think. What matters is how they metabolize the product, which is the determining factor. It may take a little trial and error to determine whether your horse or pony responds better to 1 or 2 tubes.
Does it smell and taste bad like other pastes?
No! Sudden Comfort does not smell or taste bad and it doesn’t upset the horse’s stomach the way other pastes do. It has a fresh orange smell and taste in a concentrated 30ml volume.
How long does it last?
On average, about 3 hours. We suggest giving one tube 1.5 hours out. If you need a second tube, administer 30 minutes out.
Why is it more effective than other pastes?
Sudden Comfort is made with hydroxytryptophan, which is very different from regular tryptophan. Regular tryptophan is poorly digested in the gut, but hydroxytryptophan crosses the blood brain barrier and rapidly increases serotonin.
Show safe?
Yes! All of our products are lab tested and horse show safe.
How does the volume compare to other pastes on the market?
Sudden Comfort is only a 30ml tube so the volume is much less.
What is the difference between Sudden Comfort and Calmakazi/Positude?
Positude is a daily liquid supplement designed to help regulate hormonal stability. Calmakazi is a forage fed daily to help support nervous system function. Sudden Comfort is a paste that is administered before specific events or times of additional stress. All three supplements are safe to use together and provide different benefits.
