Catherine Tyree Retires Long-Time Partner Enjoy Louis

Catherine Tyree has announced the retirement of her long-time mount, Enjoy Louis, a 16-year-old Belgian Warmblood gelding who was formerly owned by Axel Verlooy and ridden by Harrie Smolders.

In their five years together, “Louis” (Coriano—Altesse Louise, Kannan) has helped bring Tyree to the top tier of sport. In 2016, the pair finished second in the HITS Saugerties $1 Million Grand Prix (New York). The following year they placed third in the $130,000 Longines FEI World Cup President’s Cup Grand Prix at the Washington International Horse Show (District of Columbia). More recently, they secured a top-10 finish during the $500,000 Saugerties Grand Prix (New York) in September 2019.

Tyree has been a long-time fan of Ulceraser for her show horses. “With the high stress of traveling and showing and always being on the move was what drew me to the product,” she says. “I’d been trying to find something that was safe for the horses and could help them with their gastrointestinal health and keep everything up to par with their weight. I’ve done a lot of traveling this year and the horses have been comfortable and healthy, and definitely think a lot of that is due to Ulceraser.”
